Amoeba
Being just old enough to remember a time before graphical computer games, ASCII games like this fun little roguelike survival game always bring back fond memories.

From the website: "The goal of the game is to eat weaker amoebas while running away from stronger ones. When you eat a weaker amoeba you gain a level. If a stronger amoeba eats you, you die. You win by gaining level 10."
In this alternative dungeon crawl you control an amoeba, represented by a @, and on the map are other amoebas represented by numbers from 1-9 which signifies their level. You move around with the arrow keys / numerical pad and with every move, the enemy amoebas move as well, resembling Rogue like gameplay.
There's obviously not a lot to say about the technical details concerning the graphical side of this game as everything is just text.
There is also an alternative, real time version available.
