Scorched Earth
While not as full featured as its old shareware namesake, this is a nice little artillery game that makes for some good 2 player fun.

Firing your cannon is completely mouse based and works by clicking in the "aim" graphic at the top, where angle and power is calculated based on where you click the mouse.

div elements and image elements with slope graphics. The images are stretched vertically to provide different slopes and elevations. An animated GIF takes care of the explosion effects. Like some of his other games, Scorched Earth uses Nederlof's own old Beehive I library.
Pudracer
A racing game demo in which you race a small "pud" (some sort of circular thingie) against the opponents around a map viewed from above.

This is not a complete game in any way. There is only one track and there's no lap count or anything, you can just race around forever, trying to outdo your opponents. It's still a cute game and it reminds a bit of the old Micro Machines games, which is of course a good thing. The graphics are also nice, as is the usual case with Peter Nederlof's games.

Operation 043
A cute little platformer by Peter Nederlof in which you control a one man army trying to restore world peace.

The game is pretty simple and doesn't seem to have many features but the ones it has are done well and work smoothly. You jump around from platform to platform, operating levers and shooting enemies. Ammo and gold is placed around the levels, as are enemies that don't hesitate to shoot back.
The game was made with regular DHTML techniques although the sprite animations are small GIF animations. As with Peter Nederlof's other games, there is no sound.
The introduction blurb is in Dutch, but even if you have no idea what it says, that shouldn't stop you from being able to play the game (some of it is also available in English on the game list page).

Sojourn
A very nice top-down, scrolling space shooter with many levels, enemies and upgrades.

This is your usual space shoot-em-up with enemies that come at you in swarms and lots of action. As you shoot the enemy ships, you earn credits that can be used to purchase upgrades.
The controls are simple and the graphics are very nice and have a cool 8-bit look to them. If only it had a bit of sound.
Note that this game seems to only work as it should in Internet Explorer.

Rotatrix
If regular Tetris isn't enough for you, try playing it upside down! An interesting, rotating Tetris variant made by Peter Nederlof.
If regular Tetris isn't enough for you, try playing it upside down! An interesting, rotating Tetris variant made by Peter Nederlof.
In this Tetris-like game you first get to choose from two different sets of Tetris pieces, one is the ones from the classic Tetris game, the other is a special set of pieces with only 3 blocks (or balls) per piece. Not that that makes it any easier!
Some of the falling blocks have "bonus" items that will do various things like rotate the entire game, drastically increasing the difficulty level. Very nice ideas.
This game uses Nederlof's own (abandoned) Beehive II DOM library.
Note that I could only get this game to work in Internet Explorer.

The game is pretty simple and doesn't have as many features as the real Pac-Man, but it's still quite impressive to squeeze all that into 5 KB. There's not much to say about the gameplay, you all know the rules. It plays smoothly and the graphics are nice.

BlobDrop

This would make for a great game for whatever device you're carrying around in your pocket. It's just one of those annoyingly addicting puzzle games that are perfect for train rides and other situations that score equally low on the fun-o-meter.
The game screen is filled with colored balls and the goal is to get rid of as many of them as possible. You do this by clicking on groups of identical balls, where a group is any number of connected balls. Since Peter himself is color blind he added shapes to the balls as a supplement to the colors, making it easier to distinguish the different types. Nice idea.
Just like the game mechanics are simple, so is the implementation. The balls are made of small images that are simply moved around with a bit of JavaScript. There is no sound but a game like this doesn't really need it anyway.
